A murder investigation has been launched in Waltham Forest after a man in his 40s was stabbed to death.
Police were called at about 4.40am, on Friday, to Flaxen Road, in Waltham Forest, to reports of a stabbing and once there found a 42-year-old man with stab injuries.
One hour later, police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A schoolboy, 16, and a 35-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and the man’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing. At this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.”
The man’s death was not the only act of violence in the capital this week, as a quadruple stabbing took place in Camberwell on Thursday evening.
Four men were stabbed in horrifying scenes in Elmington Estate in Camberwell.
Four teenage boys, aged between 15 and 16, were rushed to hospital after being found suffering knife wounds near playing fields outside Landor House shortly before 5.30pm.
Police have asked for anyone with information about the Camberwell attacks to call Southwark CID by dialling 101 and quoting reference CAD 5391/16 AUG.
Anyone with any information to the Waltham Forest death, has also been urged to make contact with the police quoting CAD 0921/17 August or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
